Meet Ginger: The Adorable 9-Month-Old Golden Retriever

Welcome to an honest and transparent overview of Ginger, a delightful 9-month-old golden retriever. We brought her into our family in May 2024, and she is registered with the AKC, complete with the necessary paperwork. Ginger is mostly a sweet and affectionate girl, though she has displayed some unprovoked aggression towards my youngest son despite close supervision. Unfortunately, potty training has been a challenge, and she still has occasional accidents indoors.

Currently, Ginger is intact, and while we have attempted to work with trainers, we are uncertain whether the issue lies with the methods or with Ginger herself. She suffers from anxiety, making it crucial for her next owner to have a secure, fenced yard or to be home frequently, as she can hurt herself in her crate if left alone, even briefly.

On her good days, Ginger is a lovable cuddle bug who thrives on attention and companionship, ideally suited to a home where she can be with her person most of the day. She may adapt well to being the only dog or alongside another dog, as her past interactions have been friendly and non-aggressive. Her adoption includes a crate, toys, a bed, a harness, a collar, a rabies tag, dishes, and any remaining food or treats.
