Meet James: The Adorable 13-Month-Old Boxer Terrier Mix Looking for a Loving Home

Hello there! My name is James, and I'm a lively and charming 13-month-old Boxer-Staffordshire Terrier mix. Fully vaccinated and neutered, I was once a stray until I found myself at the Maricopa County Animal Shelter in West Phoenix on September 4th, 2024. After a couple of weeks, I became ill and was placed in quarantine. Unfortunately, I was listed on the E-list with a scheduled outcome date of October 18th. However, thanks to a wonderful lady who saw my urgent post on social media, I was adopted on October 17th while I was still resting in quarantine.

The next day, I underwent surgery, and by the afternoon of October 18th, I was welcomed into my new forever home! I get along superbly with my new family, including a 5-year-old female Staffordshire Terrier and a 2-year-old cat. I'm curious about the cat but very gentle with her. I've been to the vet for a checkup, and although I'm still recovering from a slight cough, my overall health is improving. I've gained weight, have a healthy appetite, and my stools are solid.

The amazing lady who saved me felt a deep connection to rescue me from a dire situation. Although the shelter estimated my age at two years, the vet confirmed I'm approximately 13 months old, which makes sense because I'm still teething! I'm a loving, affectionate, and active pup who has quickly learned commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' and 'come.' At the park, I behave well around other dogs, people, and children, but I tend to jump around, so a home without small children would be ideal.

I'm looking for a family that is active and has a backyard where I can run and play. Boxers are energetic and require space to thrive. I'm a cute little bundle of joy who will surely steal your heart!
