Rumi is an amazing 4-year-old Anatolian Shepherd who has been my loyal companion for the past 3 years in the vast landscapes of Northern California.

Living on a 350-acre ranch, Rumi played an essential role in keeping my children, aged 2 and 4, safe from bears and mountain lions. His fearless nature allowed him to chase bears up trees, and the mountain lions quickly learned to steer clear of our land with Rumi’s vigilant patrolling.

However, my circumstances have changed, and I now find myself in Royal Oak, MI, where the urban environment is not suitable for Rumi. He thrives in open spaces and needs to fulfill his instinct to protect a family.
