We are seeking a nurturing home for our lovable 8-week-old puppy, Dixie, whom we recently acquired from a breeder. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to devote the time and care she rightfully deserves.

As new dog owners, we underestimated the level of training and attention a puppy necessitates. After bringing her home, we found ourselves overwhelmed with our commitments. We recently relocated, developed more property, started a business, and are constantly busy with it all. On top of that, we are raising two young boys and just discovered we are expecting our third child. Balancing all these responsibilities along with caring for Dixie has become unmanageable for us. It breaks our hearts as we cherish Dixie and her adorable quirks. She flattens out like a pancake when napping, greets with a wagging rear, tilts her head inquisitively, and more. However, we believe this decision is for her best interest while she remains young.

We brought Dixie home when she was just five weeks old, an experience we now understand is less than ideal. Her mother faced an infection and could no longer breastfeed, requiring the puppies to eat solid food when we took her home. Dixie has recently received her first vaccination and has been dewormed.

Dixie is a bright puppy who already understands the "sit" command and is nearly fully potty trained. She has very few accidents, and she has never pooped indoors. We utilize pee pads overnight and take her outside several times a day (she'll let you know when she needs to go out). Dixie is a sweet and playful little one who loves human company. However, she seems to have a hard time with my 4-year-old, who unintentionally provokes her and causes her to become frustrated. We believe this will hinder her well-being going forward without a stable environment.

Dixie is from her mother's first litter, and both of her parents are registered. Her mother possesses a wealth of intelligence, obedience, and playfulness while being a great watchdog. Her father boasts a championship bloodline. Dixie interacts well with our kittens and cats, but being a herding dog, she enjoys jumping and playing. We also have baby chicks, and she has shown control around them.

Our priority is to ensure that Dixie finds a loving home where she can be cherished. We will provide her crate, bed, food and water bowls, and all her supplies (brush, leash, wipes, etc.) along with her vaccination and health records. Although she hasn't been crate trained due to her successful house training, she adores the company of people, and there’s plenty of potential for further training. Dixie is a wonderful puppy with vast potential, and we believe she will flourish in a home that can give her the attention she needs.
